National Senate Farm Bill Call-In Day 6/26

The Senate is expected to hold a floor vote on Senate Farm Bill (S.3042) this week. CAFB is hoping for passage of the Senate Farm Bill. Food bank advocacy on TEFAP has been heard by Senate offices and, as a result, food banks led by national groups like Feeding America and FRAC will be in a stronger position for conference to ensure TEFAP funding is adequate. However, with the passage of the harmful House Farm Bill (H.R.2), it’s critical the Senate passes their Farm Bill with a wide margin so advocates can go into conference in the strongest position possible to keep SNAP strong.  

California food banks and their agencies can take action ahead of the floor vote by participating and promoting a national call-in day:
