CalFood Spending and Reimbursement Deadline is 3/31

The CAFB Board of Directors has asked members to spend all CalFood allocations and submit reimbursements to CDSS by March 31. All members are asked to meet this deadline.

Governor Brown proposed $8M in CalFood funding for the 2018-19 budget; we are now in the process of advocating to increase that to $20.6M (see factsheet here). 

The Board created the March 31 deadline to show the need for the program and to strengthen our case for the increase to $20.6M. The Assembly and Senate have their budgetary hearings in early April, and our Capitol Action Day, formerly Legislative Day, will be on April 18.
