In addition to Shasta County, Lake County has been approved for Disaster CalFresh food assistance as of August 20, 2018.
Applications for D-CalFresh will be accepted August 22-25 and August 27-29. The state will not be deploying outreach workers, so The California Association of Food Banks encourages everyone with a connection to Lake County to help spread the word as quickly as possible, given the limited application window.
Remember that even those individuals and families who are not eligible for regular CalFresh may qualify for Disaster CalFresh if they:
Experienced food loss as a result of the fire or related power outages; and

If a household in another zip code lost food due to the Mendocino Complex (including as a result of power outages), they have until August 26 to notify the county and request replacement CalFresh benefits.
