For more than a decade, Sue Sigler was at the helm of CAFB and at the forefront of California’s fight against hunger. She shepherded the organization to the impressive and impactful place we are now — affecting change in our local, state, and federal governments, providing millions of pounds of fresh produce to food banks throughout the state and country, and ensuring that eligible Californians get the food benefits they need to stay nourished.

Dear Friends:

Every new year brings an opportunity for new beginnings, and it is with a sense of excitement for the future and gratitude for the past that I want to share with you that I have completed my tenure with CAFB.

Over the last 10 years, I have been privileged to work with outstanding staff, food banks, Board, and stakeholders who have all cared deeply and worked exceptionally hard to help ensure that no one goes hungry in California. I’m proud of what we accomplished together and know that the work will continue until food insecurity is a thing of the past.

In the immediate future, I’m planning some much-needed time off to rest and renew, before seeking my next adventure. I look forward to when our paths may meet again, and until then thank you for your partnership, dedication, and support. End hunger!
