Donate to your local food bank
California food banks turn every $1 donated into 5 pounds worth of food.
Establishing a recurring monthly donation can be one of the most meaningful ways to support your local food bank, especially since donations tend to taper off after the holidays. By supporting your food bank all year round, you can ensure quality, consistent service to those in need no matter the season.
To make a donation to your local food bank, please contact them directly.
Donate to CAFB
The California Association of Food Banks welcomes donations. When you contribute to CAFB, your gift has a statewide impact, supporting our nutrition education, CalFresh outreach and Farm to Family programs that help people in need all over California. Contributions to CAFB also support our anti-hunger advocacy efforts at the state and national levels.
Donate Crops to Our Farm to Family Program
Growers and packers can make a tremendous impact by donating fresh produce to CAFB’s Farm to Family program. Last year, 114 partners provided over 140 million pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables through Farm to Family. With tax incentives and a reliable, rapid response to your available product, donating to Farm to Family can make a positive impact on your bottom line.
To learn how to donate crops, please contact Steve Linkhart, Director of Farm to Family, at 1-866-321-4435 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
